As an artist, he’s recorded for Warner Brothers, Sony and MCA Records. His music has been featured on major networks and in leading national publications.
An A-list of cool collaborations includes: Vince Gill, Radney Foster, Rodney Crowell, Steve Lukather (Toto), Dann Huff (Keith Urban), David Z (Prince) and Stan Lynch (Tom Petty, Don Henley, Bob Dylan).
And JCD has shared the stage with Train, Daughtry, the Roots, Lyle Lovett, Jack Ingram, Michael McDonald, Eddie Money, Poco, Pure Prairie League, Restless Heart, Kansas, REO Speedwagon and President George W. Bush.



Michael Clay has been producing corporate events, trade shows, festivals and concerts for more than three decades. Widely regarded as the event whisperer of the Lone Star State, the fifth-generation Texan is well-versed in both the local culture and marketplace.
Before starting his eponymous music management company, Michael was a senior producer for Freeman, a premier Dallas-based event consulting firm, and served as Director of Entertainment for the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center. His wheelhouse includes budgeting, scheduling and customer service; his MO is to always exceed expectations.
Together, Michael and JCD have brought Lone Star Attitude’s The Sound of Texas® to over 70 countries and more private events than any other independent band in Texas.
In 2003, he co-founded the Texas Music Project, dedicated to the advancement of student music education programs statewide. As Executive Director, he leads a Board of Directors committed to supporting big dreams and musical ambition. Honorary committee members include Willie Nelson and Maren Morris.
