MEET

“Music connects hearts, souls, a room full of strangers. We don’t win an audience over with tricks or trends.
It’s spirit, sweat, experience and passion.” JCD

Whether it’s the full band, trio, duo or solo, each member is a true artist in every sense. It’s when they get together that the real magic happens. LSA is carefully customized to fit each event and audience.

Meet LSA founder Jon Christopher Davis and the family of artists who make the music.

JON CHRISTOPHER DAVIS

Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter, Producer, LSA Founder

JCD has written songs for legends and superstars: Dolly Parton, Hal Ketchum, Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), Stan Lynch (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Billy Ray Cyrus and Steve Lukather (Toto).

As an artist, Jon’s recorded for Warner Brothers, Sony and MCA Records. His music has been featured on major networks (ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS) and in major publications (USA Today, Billboard Magazine, Texas Highways and the Washington Post).

SUSAN MORGAN

Vocals, Guitar

Susan transcends genres: blues to rock, country to Americana. She puts her own stamp on the classics (think Bonnie Raitt, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Credence Clearwater Revival, Linda Ronstadt, Lucinda Williams and The Pretenders), giving beloved songs a highly personal vibe.

AUSTIN MORGAN

Lead Guitar

Vintage vagabond and Keith Richards aficionado. Austin has the innate ability to make every song—whether he’s played it once or a thousand times—sound fresh and new. Like so many great guitarists, he coaxes a myriad of emotions from his instrument.

JAY BROWN

Piano, B3 Organ, Vocals

Many have heard Jay’s music. They just don’t realize it. Along with national commercials and television shows, he’s been featured on The Tonight Show and the FX hit, “What We Do In The Shadows.” From the studio to the stage, Jay is DFW’s version of renowned Tom Petty pianist/keyboard player, Benmont Trench.

STEVE RITTER

Drums, Vocals, Engineer

A trifecta of talents lands Steve in the same school as acclaimed drummers/singers/songwriters Don Henley, Levon Helm and Phil Collins. He’s shared the stage with a long list of all-stars: Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, Little Big Town, Three Dog Night and Jefferson Starship, among others.

ROB WECHSLER

Violin, Mandolin, Engineer

Rob’s one of the most decorated recording engineers and musicians in Texas. His discography speaks for itself: Willie Nelson, Kenny Loggins, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Olivia Newton-John, The Beach Boys, Carly Simon, The Little River Band, Erykah Badu, Tripping Daisy and The New Bohemians.

WILL & CRYSTAL YATES

Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Percussion

This power couple recently won the Texaco Country Music Showdown, the largest American country music competition. They’re in great company; past contestants include Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Reba McEntire and Brad Paisley. The pair have performed throughout the United States and Western Europe; venues include the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW and the Wildflower Festival.

CHRIS RASPANTE

Lead Guitar, Vocals, Engineer

Chris has recorded and toured with country music luminaries: the Dixie Chicks, Travis Tritt, Collin Raye and Ty Herndon. His experience runs the gamut, from guitarist on the HBO series “True Blood” to appearances on the Tonight Show and at the Grand Ole Opry.

CHAZ MARIE

Vocals & Percussion

Spanning musical genres, Chaz’s background reads like an industry Black Book: Brian McKnight, Richard Marx, Kenny Rogers, Michael McDonald, Wynonna Judd, Lonestar, JoDee Messina, the Temptations and LeAnn Rimes. Her hit single, “Real Bad Mood,” landed on the Billboard Top 40. The artist is married to fellow band member Quinten Hope.

QUINTEN HOPE

Lead Guitar

Quinten is known for creating HUGE guitar sounds. He’s not only a Mesa Boogie Artist/Endorsee—his work was recently featured in a Mesa Boogie documentary. Music is a family affair. The sought-after guitarist is married to fellow LSA singer/percussionist Chaz Marie.

BRIAN PATTERSON

Bass, Vocals

Every band needs a governor of groove. For LSA, it’s the mega-talented Brian, an accomplished bass player. The multi-faceted musician has worked with hit makers including Ty Herndon, Doug Stone, Tracy Lawrence, Tracy Byrd, Toby Keith and Chuck Berry.

MILO DEERING

Multi-Instrumentalist

If you’re judged by the company you keep, Milo nails it—unconditionally. The versatile musician’s current stint is with the Eagles. Past performances include the Tonight Show, the Today Show, the Grammy Awards, David Letterman, the Billboard Music Awards, the View and Austin City Limits.

MAYLEE THOMAS

Vocals & Percussion

For Maylee, music has always been a passionate expression from the soul. Early days as a gospel singer inspired her musical style: a genre-crossing, hypnotic mix of gospel-based blues and soul-driven rock. The philanthropic McKinney, Texas resident (where she’s known as the “First Lady”) is co-founder of The Love Life Foundation, a charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse.
